MARITIME BEACONS

DESCHAMPS SA produced its first maritime beacon in 2007.

The French national agency “Phares et Balises”, which was looking for a material that would better resist the harsh weather and sea water as an alternative to its steel and wood beacons, found in Deschamps SA’s fiberglass beacons a solution which far exceeded its specifications.

As a result, our fiberglass beacons are progressively replacing each year all the beacons along the French coasts, and are even exported abroad, as far as the South African coast where winds can reach speeds of up to 40m/s.
