EN40 Standard
All DESCHAMPS SA light poles are designed according to the EN40 standard and specifically the standard for composite poles presented in article 7.

Tests
In addition to the constraints imposed by the EN40 standard, DESCHAMPS SA conducts regular mechanical tests at its factory for new pole models or to control its regular production.
The video test shown below presents a traction technique approved by APAVE, a state agency.
One objective of these tests was in particular to demonstrate that the weight of a man at the top of mast would generate a pole failure which would put his life or that of others at risk.
The test was stopped when the weight reached 160 kgs, which is the average weight of two men, at which level the pole showed no sign of weakness.
